I was wondering if a small nick or gouge( less than 1/32 in.) on the the top of Miss Liberty's crown under the letter I in Liberty on the obverse of the coin, would affect the price realized should I put this coin up for auction? I don't have pictures, but it's not too noticeable seeing as though I have owned this coin since the latter part of "07 and have just now noticed it. Please feel free to comment and also know that I wished that I had noticed it 1 1/2 years ago so I could have returned it. Thanks.

If you sell the coin ungraded and don't mention the gouge, expect to have an unhappy buyer when he discovers it.

Nobody here is going to tell you that the coin should sell as if the gouge doesn't exist.

If it bothers you enough to wish that you had returned it, it will bother anyone else.

Oh I agree with you, that's not what I am getting at. I would never intentionally try to sell a coin, or anything for that matter without full disclosure. I was just wondering how much something like that would affect the price. 10-20 %? I've noticed that you don't see a lot of platinum or gold buffalo's raw up for auction very often.
