What would an unopened 72-73 basketball box be worth?

A local seller has one that he said he got from an older lady a few years back whose husband passed away and he had some old cards. He has a collectibles store that is about 1% cards so it is not anywhere near his main store commodity. The box and packs are damn near mint.

Has the guy given you any indication as to how much he wants for it? Think you could get it for a Grand?

HAHAHAHAHA Let's just hope this was a REAL old lady and a REAL husband! LOL But corvette said the packs look good ... let's just sure he checks them closely before (if) he decides to buy.

He has it priced for $3900 so its obviously overpriced to begin with. Would it be worth $2000?

    I think at $2,000.00 it's still overpriced!
