Truly Obscure Yankee Stadium item

My grandmother picked up a team signed item from the NY Football Giants in 1929. Most of the signatures were of players, but there was one in there that I could not identify - John Edward Lenz. But, when Wellington Mara died there was a story in the newspaper about how he had met Babe Ruth back in the 1920s - a friend of Tim Mara named John Lenz who was the announcer at Yankee Stadium took Wellington into the dugout to meet the Babe. Then I found an article on the web by Keith Obermann titled "The Voices Before Shepherd" with a photo of Lenz and the story of his career. Shortly after that there was an eBay auction with some passes that once belonged to Lenz. Here's the autograph, two passes, and a photo of Lenz as the Stadium announcer in the days before electronic amplification.

Excellent!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for sharing.
not too long from now that good ol' folks will be paying 2,500.00 dollars for the seats they paid 2 dollars for. Everyone
is thinking Lenz is drunk, but Lenz was an amazing predictor of future events.
