Dallas Cowboy's practice facility collapses

First the team collapses, now the practice facility. One person was very hurt. A thunderstorm caused the damage.
Hopefully that individual can and will recover. I'm sure more will follow, and perhaps more people were hurt.

Thank goodness only one got hurt - that could have been a tragedy. Best to the injured.

Just heard it on the news - We kid about the rivalries, but I wish them the best outcome as possible in that horrible situation.

The Incubus was at the Kentucky Derby and made sure to get some face time with Costas about the damage.

    Elsewhere, Tony Romo wept.

Hope for the best for all involved -

"A 33-year-old man was impaled by an object and was taken to Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas in critical condition, Gonzalez said.

Two people were in serious condition at Parkland, one with a head injury and another who suffered neck and back injuries. Another person was in serious condition at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas with an open leg fracture. The others suffered injuries that were not life threatening.

At least four members of the Cowboys support staff were hospitalized, according to a Cowboys spokesman.

Cowboys coach Wade Phillips said special teams coach Joe DeCamillis suffered a neck injury and was taken to an area hospital by ambulance.

"He was moving his hands, and he was talking," Phillips said before leaving for the hospital.

Phillips said a couple of players suffered minor injuries. "

Wow, that is a pretty flimsy practice facility, considering all the dough being spent on the new stadium.

The one at the University of Connecticut (full indoor facility, brick structure, not a "tent") is much nicer (Is is fairly new, though).

Wow, that's some dramatic footage. Prayers to the injured and their families.

One staff member is paralyzed for life. The company that built the "tent" was sued previously for shoddy work and lost. I smell a lawsuit.

One person had a broken fibula and tibula (he will be in pain for the rest of his life) and another had a broken back but no paralysis. That is pretty awful outcome but no players hurt luckily.
