GAI Authentic Football Matchbook

I collect the Diamond football matchbooks from the 1930s - but I've never seen one slabbed and labeled "authentic" What does this mean??

Probably trimmed more than your normal GAI card.

I have some cards slabbed authentic. No question on their authenticity, but rather the holder is for protection and to add eye appeal. I think they add Authentic as it's either that or a grade.

There doesn't look to be anything wrong with the cover. Putting Authentic on it is easier than just putting a 1 on everything. That way if it's complete with matches, flattened, glued, or striker removed, you'll always get the grade right.
