Hi,
I noticed the new PCGS CC special was any lincoln coin, so I decided I would buy a 2009 proof commemorative and send it in.
Upon close examination I noticed there is a small indentation near the date, it seems to be low not raised... but it is difficult to tell for sure.
The inside of it has the same frosted appearance of the raised area of the proof.
I was just wondering what may have caused this and if it would hurt the grade at all if I sent it in.
Maybe a small piece of metal or something between the die and planchet?
Thanks,

They are not good things to find.

No, not if you were hoping for a chance at a 70. Still it is a small thing and the Proof is a neat addition to a Lincoln or modern commemorative collection. It is wise to realize what you have.
