For sale here is a nice example of a Charlotte $5 Half Eagle. This 1856-C has been certified by NCS as AU Details, with a Planchet Flaw. The coin has a planchet flaw on the obverse where the metal was mixed improperly. Nice luster on both sides. Looks Gem AU on the obverse, and Choice AU on the reverse. The reverse is rotated about 45 degrees CCW. A well struck Charlotte, such as this, would command $6K to $9K in PCGS plastic. This one is for sale for $2250 shipped or best offer.
