Gold or filled?

I collect little bars like this but looks like the gold is flaking off these, Real or Pass?

    My first thought is schmutz. Residue from something they were in or glued to. The image appears to be a scan rather than a photo, which might help to explain (dirty scanner, a 1 gram bar is tiny). Is it really profitable to make a fake 1 gram bar?

    They sell for $50/g so if you make a lot of them out of 5 cents worth of copper seems it would be worthwhile and many people probably don't bother to check.

    Why, it's the "GOLD" brand, can't you see? They come in those little plastic containers in 25 cent gum machines!

    The way they have the GOLD on the bar is a copy of Pamp Suisse logo but I believe the refiner is the AF on the bottom although I'm not familiar. I think I'm going to pass on them unless they go super cheap.
