Let's hear your submission strategies.

Topic is wide open, but my particular interest is whether you try to include enough cards in your submissions to sell and at least partially pay for the cost of your submission. I didn't start out doing that, but have been doing it lately. And I'm sending in a bunch of stuff on the April special tomorrow that includes doubles of several cards so I can sell one and pay for the cost of grading them both. Anyone else do this?

<< <i>playing 9 vs. 10.......if i have two cards which i consider mint and capable of a PSA 10, i may choose to send both, thereby creating a psychological need to compare by the TPG as opposed to just designating a single offering as a PSA 9 and being done with it......don't know if statistically this would prove out, but when i was doing bulk subs, i had this happen many times as predicted and even came out with dualing PSA 10's on occasion. >>
Yeah, I do that too.
I also put the cards in order on the sub sheet starting with the lowest grade first. By the time they get to my 10 candidates, they look even better after looking at 8's and 9's.

Also, I sometimes send in both a 9 and a 10 knowing the 9 will be a throw away but hoping that makes the 10 look like a true 10. In fact, about to send a sub with 4 identical Michael Jordan's (early 90's card - not highly valuable) which to my eye include 3 10's and 1 9. The 9 is there to make the 10's look even better!
Also doing that with some '86 Topps I am sending in. One has chipping on the black border to reinforce how clean the other ones are.
I will say with the current $4.50 special I am sending about 20 cards in today that I normally would not have gotten graded. For example all 5 or 6 of my Russell Westbrook rookie cards. Do I really need all of them, or any of them, graded? Probably not but I figured for about $5.00 (including postage) why the heck not! I also included more borderline cards than normal so will likely get more throw aways but you never know... that's why you play the game!

LOL, nice
If I have a card thats been rejected a few times, I send it in with a bunch of cards I know are good. Kind of a guilt by association thing, but association by good cards.
Works best with the vintage stuff
the 10s.
With the .5 point system, my submissions are way down. We all have different budgets, and
it is just not worth it for me anymore.

I like to do the opposite; I try and mix up my order. I feel like many graders don't like to give multiple 10's in a row. I could be completely wrong with this strategy too .

This is what I'm talking about. If you mixed up the order of your subs that 8 and 9 would have been a 10 4sure.
