2009 Goudey blasters and Walmart specials - SCANS ADDED

Found some 2009 Goudey at Walmart today. Bought 3 of the 6 boxes. Didn't even know they were out yet. Plus, Walmart has a lot of their older blaster boxes at 50% off.

Apperantly the SPs are the same as last year, #'s 200 and up.

Not sure about the SPs, but they did insert buybacks of original Goudey's this year.

From what I have been reading, apparently the hobby boxes have an Apr 28th release date.

First 2 boxes were absolute crap. One Sport Royalty per blaster box I guess. I got Steve Carlton and Mike Schmidt. They do have the 4 in 1 cards though.

Upper Deck hasn't been putting good cards in retail for a few years now. Two blasters at walmart would get you more than half a box of hobby and
MUCH better odds of pulling something nice. Hobby hits this week, worth the wait!

Just trying to point out the obvious. Upper Deck has been screwing collectors over in retail for a long time, hence the "half off" boxes that have NOTHING
in them. If no one takes my advise then fine, but I save someone just one person from getting screwed then my job is done. Why don't you buy
the other three blasters and prove me wrong!

Didn't say this years Goudey didn't suck because my first impression is that they are horrible. Last years however, were friggin awesome. I averaged a GU'd or auto'd card about one in every other retail blaster.

Yesterday, I stopped by a KMart that I didn't know was by my work and it had '08 Masterpiece blasters for $8.99 and 14 packs of '08 goudey from a box for $1.49. The blaster had a black framed Longoria and a Nolan Ryan GU! The Goudey had a GU and a Noah Lowry auto. I was pleased. Might need to stop by every once in a while.
