Does this appear to be a PSA 1?

Please note the paper loss along the lower end of the card's reverse. I'm guessing that it wouldn't fetch more than a 1, though I would love to be wrong. Any thoughts?

Yes, that much paper loss is almost automatic

    I suspect it is a 1.

(I still kinda like it, though.)

  • If it were to come in a PSA 1, and I agree with Storm and Vito that it most likely will, what's the VCP average for such a card?

I agree with the grade, but what a GREAT LOOKING PSA "1" it will be! I would love to own a lot of PSA "1"s from the 40s and back that look like that card.

Their is such a wide variance within the PSA 1 grade that an average price is almost meaningless.

I agree with diamondman. I don't think that's a miscut, but an artifact of taking the picture at an angle.

How about this for a PSA 1? No creases/clean back.

Is that a pinhole above Satch's head?
    Those get a PSA 1.

Looks like it to me too! What else could possibly pull it down to a 1? No paper loss anywhere... clean back!

Unless that's a magic baseball card that's left edge is always longer, no matter which side you are looking at, it's probably not a miscut card, I agree.

The top border stays true on the top. Yup, camera angle and not miscut... PSA 2.

I love them PSA 1s with a pinhole, nice cards at the right price. image
