I know, nobody likes hockey around here. However, this is the first ever home playoff game for the jackets, so while I'm expecting a good whipping from the wings, the arena should be electric.

Good Luck with parking. Aren't the Clippers playing too?

    yep, clippers too.

I have a free pass for one of the lots a few blocks away, although getting there may be tough. Who cares, I'm not driving and I always take roadies.

Hope that you have a good time at the game...and that you get to hear the cannon go off many times!

I went to Nationwide Arena last month when the Hawks came to play, and I was really impressed with the whole experience.

Hockey playoffs are pretty exciting. I went back when the Lightning was actually good and the atmosphere was electric!
  • Playoff hockey is awesome. You'll have a great time. I'm tuned into Versus for the next month and a half.

We went to game 2 and had a blast. Detroit is playing very well and Osgood is a good reason why. But their D in general has been very good. Columbus got over the first hump by just making it. If they can continue to build on this next year, they could become a force. Man, that hit on Umberger was harsh. Stuart blasted him.

  • Is this some sort of ice hockey contest that you will be attending?

well, had a good time even though the home team sucked it. Detroit looked real good. Ozzy is still the man. And $9.00 beers suck it too.

OK, being nosey as HE** what did the night cost you? Tickets, parking, food & drinks everything? Can I ask for a "ballpark" figure in hockey?

No problem - Cost me exactly $93. That was my winning bid on e-bay for the 2 tickets. They were e-mailled to me just a few minutes after I paid. Face value was $45/piece, so I think I actually got them cheaper than if purchased through ticketmaster.

I picked up the tickets, my buddy drove, brought roadies, parking was free, he picked up my two dogs and a bag of nuts for dinner, and the 2 beers I drank at the game.
  • Not a bad price considering they are play-off tickets and even better since that was your only expense.
There's a great pic on www.dispatch.com of some BJ fans smothering an attempted octopi throw. image
Too bad the Dead Things look like they'll sweep but it's the first year for Columbus.
