It's official-- the rest of the NFL can run and hide. Now that the Lions have revamped their look I think it's all but given that they'll be representing the NFC in this the 2010 Super Bowl. Nothing like some flashy new gear to get our gridiron gladiators motivated! For years the Lions faithful have clamored that the only thing keeping this team from attaining a position amongst the league's elite was the absence of a hip new font for the team name, and a groovy new lion for the helmets. Now that these issues have been resolved the rest is just a matter of connecting-the-dots.

Lions over 4.5 -120. Book it! VIVA THE HONOLULU BLUE!

That's probably a picture of a lion that had been poisoned in Kenya. Sad, stupid, and so much more. Sigh.

If they want a "complete' new image...why not also change the team name from Lions to Hippopotamuses? Hippos actually account for more deaths in Africa than do lions, so the name change and a logo of a hippo flashing its huge teeth, could strike fear into the hearts of opposing players.
