Ernie Banks TTM Request question

I have seen a number of guys on here that have sent away for a Ernie Banks auto but I cant for the life of me find out who. I am working on the project below and need a Banks auto. If someone could let me know a good address for Mr Banks and how much he charges I would be very appreciative.

Thank you

Andrew

    Andrew,

I sent a 1954 Topps rookie card and a $25 check to Mr. Banks on 7/3/2008 at the following address:

    Ernie Banks
    27 N. Wacker Dr., Suite 466
    Chicago, IL 60606

I got it back 226 days later beautifully autographed.

Ernie also does shows if you didn't want to take a chance on a TTM. I just got back a card he signed for me at a show and total turnaround time was about two weeks but it cost me about $85.00 as well.

    Good luck!!

Thanks for the responses. This has been a fun project!!

Mike, I had seen that address but was not sure if it was good. I dont think I want to risk the possibility of losing this picture so I guess I have to wait for a show or something. Thanks for your information!!

He is signing the weekend of July 18, 19 in Rosemont, Illinois. I believe mounted memories is doing the mail order for the show.

That is a business address located in downtown Chicago. I would probably have a board member take it to the Rosemont Show this summer if you can't make it.

Thanks for the info Mike. I work near Rosemont and was not even aware that this show was happening. I knew Sportsfest had folded but heard nothing about this show until you mentioned the Banks signing. 79 bucks for an autograph is something that I find really hard to do...but I just might have to since he is the last hof'er (that is living Leo Durocher is deceased) I need on this photo. I have not paid for any of these autographs but it looks like I will be paying for Ernie!!

The only thing that bothers me about this show is the following statement I took from the show website:

'MR. MINT' ALAN ROSEN IN HIS TRADITIONAL FRONT BOOTH, WITH HIS BRIEFCASE FULL OF CASH!!!

I thought we were done with this guy!! LOL

  • I have a feeling now that word is getting out that Banks probably has been flooded with TTM's in the past week and will stop signing just like Pete Rose did c/o Field of Dreams. The internet spreads this news way too fast. I'm sure a few hundred at least have went out in the past week.
