Latest copper submission results

Renewed my Club membership at the Portland show last month and submitted $0.04 for grading. 4 crosses, 2 regrades, 2 raw. All sailed through. but boy are they being tough, tough tough on the early copper.

Not the most common practice with the early copper folks out there, but what the heck, my OCD kicked in and my desire for uniformity, and off to the slab factory they went. Guess I need to up my visits to my therapist, once a week for the little half sister addiction, and once a week to adress my compulsive fuss budgetting tendencies......

  • Nice results - can you post a pic of the 1811 half cent? They usually come with pretty rough surfaces. Curious what your VG 10 looks like.

Nice looking little coins there, Scott image

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

Thanks all for the kind words. My next copper submission will be heading off shortly and will keep you posted. In fact, maybe I should do a guess the grade in advance of sending.

abitofthisabitofthat- I will try and get some pictures of this one, I was actually expecting a F-12 on it.

Bochiman- tell me you bought somethign cool at PNNA this last weekend.

Billet-I need all of those coins in my set, I am jealous. - now don't be jealous, I have seen some examples of your lovely half cents!!

Thanks, I will try to curb my jealousy!image I noticed the other day that my 1794 looks almost exactly like yours. I will have to post pics so you can see. For a second I thought it was the same coin! I think few people realize how difficult the half cent series is to collect, especially the earlier ones. You should do a guess the grade game with your next submission, I need the practice!
