I did not want to clutter the Friday British coin thread with this reply. But others have asked and a PM would not seem fair.

As for my Avitar. It is the Bi-metallic pattern piece of the below 150th Anniversary of the British Penny Black from Germany. It is a 1990 in silver and gold. The photo was taken from the Bi-Metallic Club magazine Cover. The below piece is in my collection. It was purchased from spoon while stationed over there, I believe. Only seen one other in several years. Another forum member offered spoon his first born for itimage

Seeing my screen name as a thread title certainly captured my attention. image

Thanks for the information. It's a very unusual and interesting piece.
I never thought that growing old would happen so fast.

Yeah, it was kind of funny how that happened. Boz asked about it in a thread here and a week or so later I ran across it by chance at the local flea market. That vendor was peddling more just silverware and that sort of thing but had a few binder pages of silver 5 marks and this. Then I forgot who asked about it so I posted a thread about it and got a few nice offers, but Boz asked first image

I haven't seen another since. Lucky timing! image
