Another Wheat cent in change today from the cafeteria!

LongacreLongacre Posts: 16,717 ✭✭✭
I am not sure why I get so excited about this stuff, but again today I got a wheat cent in change at the cafeteria! I told my tale of yesterday's find, and for the first time ever, I got a wheatie two days in a row. It seems like there is a bumper crop in the till downstairs.

Today's coin is the excessively rare 1925, and I grade it a solid VG. There are some black spots at 11 o'clock and 5 o'clock on the obverse, but otherwise the fields are smooth with a nice planchet. The reverse shows wear on the tips of the wheat stalks commensurate with the grade, and other than a (possibly mint-made) grease streak connecting the C and the O, the reverse is devoid of any mentionable abrasions.

I gave six rolls of them to a bank in CT about two weeks ago, maybe you are finding those.
One of them is dated 1909.

I simply don't understand why YOU are eating in the cafeteria? Otherwise, I'm quite happy to hear the news image

Longacre, if you find anymore wheat cents you're going to have to pedigree them as the "Cafeteria Hoard".
