Set Checklist Help

I am trying to finish up my 2002 Studio Private Signings set (Set Link) and need to verify the cards that were actually produced for the set. The only good source of a checklist that I am aware of is from Beckett's; however, I know of the existance of #119 ADAM JOHNSON card that does not appear on their checklist. As such, I question the accuracy of their checklist. In all my searching for the cards in the set, I have yet to see the #35 ERIC MUNSON and #158 NICK NEUGEBAUER cards and question their existance. I believe that the Johnson card may have been a late replacement for the Munson card.

Does anybody know of a good source for an accurate checklist? I have attempted to email Donruss without any success.

Thanks,
Mike

  • At this point, you are probably the Set's Subject Matter Expert who did not have a hand in designing and printing the set from Donruss. Do you know what cards were originally REDEMPTION Cards in the packs? I am working on the 2001 Topps Archives Autos (158 cards) with similar issues since Topps used redemption cards and the Set checklist shows 170 in the set even though 12 players were never issued for differeing reasons. There are 4 Registry TAA sets so we can share info with one another, an option you don't have. The other info I have is that 2002 Donruss Diamond Kings issued all 100 listed auto/memorabilia cards, though two players made it out via redemption cards (Gwynn Bat and Ishii Bat). So I would guess that Donruss did a good job getting all the cards out. Good luck with the search! Part of the fun is the journey.
  • I believe they were all issued in packs. It has been fun collecting the set, but it is going to drive me nuts if I can find out if I have all of the cards or not. image Not having an accurate checklist is especially frustrating now that I am down to 5 cards and believe that two of them do not exist. I will be submitting the rest of the cards that I do not have graded under the current special. It has been an expensive proposition collecting this set and getting it grade myself.
