Morning,
Have a question for you all. I recently picked up a used lot of about 80 Wacky Packages from the 3rd series to the 8th series off of E-bay. About Mid Grade, from my research on the Wacky website, mostly commons. I split them up into lots and sold them at auction, mostly to the same guy. So he gets them amd then e-mails me he wants his money back because most of them are conterfiet because they don't have the copyright. So I of course said no problem and will refund. Here are my questions.
1. Are their such things as conterfiets of these?
2. If somebody was to take the time and money to conterfiet these, why would they do it using worthless commons that are retailed at .20-.30 cents each? Why not the Rarer ones at $2-$10 each?
3. Why would these conterfiets be in mid grade condition, lowering their value even more? Why not pristine condition?
4. Is there another explanation as to why some don't have copyrights?
5. How easy/difficult would it be to conterfiet these?
6. Why not just conterfiet them with the copyright if you were going to conterfiet them?
7. Why, Why, Why?????
Thanks for your help
Neil

The buyer is an idiot. Those things come both ways.
Many items that Topps have done can be found with copyright and without.

Hard to Find Titles Scoot (without copyright)
Common Titles
Arise Cream
Bleed's Candy
Clubbed Canadian
Copperbone
A simple google will answer his questions.
Steve
(scoot) comes with no copyright.
Maybe an email to the expert will answer your questions.

Try that Neil.
However with that said, I still believe that Topps has in the past printed items with and without copyright.
I doubt very much that wacky's were counterfeited but then again who knows.

Online poker is a sucker's game.
now...........
1982 Topps Album Series - this issue included old stickers along with new and reworked ones. Stickers have no copyright on the front, just a number.
1979/80 Topps Reissue - stickers have number on front, along with copyright.
1974/75 Wonder Bread - stickers have copyright on front, but in some cases (though not all) it is different from original run.
Don't waste your time and fees listing on ebay before getting in touch me by PM or at gregmo32@aol.com !

<< <i>Yeah whatever happened with that lottery tix? Was it a scam?

Well if it was a scam, don't quite see the point. The guy spent $4-5 K Friday cleaning out the two local liquor stores, spent another few thousand at the grocery store and then threw the Biggest party that my little town of 500-1000 has ever seen. So who did he scam giving away all that Beer and Food? Don't quite get it??
Neil
Thanks for the info on the Wackys ken61, but I don't think these are any of those, No Numbers or Copyrights. I'll Re-scan tham when I get them back.
Thanks
Neil
Nevermind.
