Mark Fidrych RIP

Didn't pitch long in the majors, but had a lasting impression. Seems too young to die.
I collect Vintage Cards, Commemorative Sets, and way too many vintage and modern player collections in Baseball (180 players), Football (175 players), and Basketball (87 players). Also have a Dallas Cowboy team collection.

  • There is no doubt that Mark the bird will be missed.

He brought a SHINNING light to a late 70's Tigers team that SORELY
    needed something to talk about.

Although I never PERSONALLY met him, he seemed like a really down
    to earth guy.

    RIP Mark !

Like I said in the other forums, It's very sad to hear he died. As a kid in the 70's he was one of my favorites. I even did a book report about him when his book came out in 78. With today's medical advancements Fidrych could have had an incredible career. He will certainly always be the most famous pitcher in MLB history with less than 30 wins...Maybe even the most famous with sub 100 wins.

God bless him and his family & friends.
