Dye and Konerko back to back for their 300th home runs, first time in MLB history

Watching the Tigers and ChiSox and in the 2nd inning just saw Dye go deep for his 300th homerun then Pauly followed up with his 300th. Seriously doubt that has ever happened before and will again. It's amazing coincidence if you think about it.

  • Almost unbelievable. It wasn't that long ago that 300 HRs was an amazing feat and 400 put you in the HOF unless your name was Dave Kingman.

    Or Darrell Evans.

Back to back for your 300th HR - wow that is a coincidence.

Cool beans. Two solid performers for the ChiSox.

Very happy for Konerko!!! Another ex-Dodgers that was traded way too early during the Fox ownership years.

Yeah they gave him away to Cincy along with Reyes for Jeff Shaw.

Man ... Kingman could hit the Sh*t out of the ball ... when he hit it. His SO/HR ratio (4.2 - 1) is almost as bad as Reggies (4.6 - 1), but both were a lot of fun to watch!

I believe Kingman is the ONLY PLAYER IN MLB HSTORY to hit more than 30 Home Runs in his final year!
    STAY HEALTHY!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

The whole steriod issue had discombutelated total HR's over the past 10-15 years.

    Kingman retired 23 years ago.

Well duh no kidding, I didn't say or infer otherwise my comment was relative to those hitting over 400 besides him. Amazing how quick some of you folks imagine you have something or someone to jump on. Too fricking funny. But what would one expect from LSU. image And before you jump again, that was meant in a friendly jest. image

A crushing defeat any time we play Notre Dame at any sport.

EDIT to add: You were missing the point. Kingman was eligible for the HOF in 1991, which would be prior to your 10-15 year window.
