New guy/ New grades In

Long time collector, first time posting. I've enjoyed reading the forum over the the last few years, so I decided to jump in. Blogging, tweeting or Facebook stuff doesn't really intrest me much, but it should be fun to jump in here once in awhile. You guys and gals are great by the way. I've learned a lot when I get a chance to read the forum. By the way, here's my latest grades that just came back yesterday. I was shocked I got them back so fast. I just mailed them in on the 31st. Not bad, I've had these '62's for about 25 years or so. With the great deal right now I couldn't resist. The 9's are nice along with the token EOT card . I thought the Marichal would grade higher.     Welcome to the boards! Very nice first sub too!

    Could you provide scans of the 9's (if it's not too much to ask)? I'm sure that there are others here who would like to see those as well...

    alt... troll... who cares that is one heck of a sub. I don't know much about 62's but I have heard they are really tough on them. What does an average common go for in 9?

    Just to clarify, I don't believe Pigs is an alt or a troll. jzimmerman85 is the alt/troll...just do a quick review of his handful of posts.

    I believe this card in this grade sold on eBay for about $900 right around Christmas.

    nightcrawler--Gar is a family nickname I put on by mistake. I go by Doug, Gar or Hey You. I had no idea on the Hal Brown, I noticed it was 1 of a very few 9's. Not bad for $5.50 grade fee. Cool

    Believe me, I was as shocked as anyone with the quick turnaround. I was willing to wait out the month. My heart rate went up fast when I opened up the order at work.

    Hi Doug

    Welcome and congratulations on a superb sub!

    If ya have the chance, would ya scan and post those 62T 9s? Incredible.

    Last, and this is a general statement - it's a shame when someone comes here - new - and is accused of being an "alt" - I really believe it would be better to assume someone is new until proven otherwise. Not a nice way to be greeted here IMO.

    Thanks Mike for the kind words. I was taken off guard by the "alt" tag. I guess all I can say about that is not to judge someone by first glance when they walk in the door, get to know them a little bit first. I've read the boards here for a long time but have never seen that phrase, or I've just not caught it. It's over. About the cards, I haven't got them back. It looks like Monday at the earliest. I've only had about 150 cards graded since joining PSA in '06 but I understand how rare it is for 9's when you talk about '62 Topps. Being greedy I felt many of those cards were equal in condition, but I can't be ticked by getting 6 of them when I've seen the tough grades people have gotten here. Thanks again. Doug

    Please don't be offended or taken off guard by jzimmerman85 calling you an alt. He/she is a troll with apparently nothing to add to this forum. In one post, you were able to do what he/she has been unable to do in many. Welcome to the board and I look forward to your continued contributions!
