Killed in a car accident after pitching 6 innings of scoreless baseball last night. Thats a shame, only 23 years old.

Angels' Adenhart Dies in Car AccidentAOL
ANAHEIM, Calif. (April 9) - Los Angeles Angels rookie pitcher Nick Adenhart died Thursday in a hit-and-run car crash after a game, a hospital official said.
Adenhart, 22, died after undergoing surgery, University of California, Irvine Medical Center spokesman John Murray said.
Adenhart was one of three people killed in the crash early Thursday after pitching in a loss against the Oakland Athletics.
The driver of a minivan ran a red light in Fullerton and hit two cars, including one carrying Adenhart.
Police Lt. Craig Brower said the minivan driver fled the crash scene and was captured a short time later. The driver was arrested and booked for investigation of felony hit-and-run. Details of the accident were first reported by TMZ.com.
A fourth passenger was at the same hospital in critical condition.
Adenhart was the Angels' No. 3 starter, making his season debut Wednesday night. The right-hander earned a spot in the starting rotation on an injury-plagued Angels staff by impressing manager Mike Scioscia late in spring training.
He was born in Silver Springs, Md.

The Angels, in a statement, said the female driver and another male passenger were dead in the Mitsubishi when police and firefighters arrived. The team said no other members of the organization were involved in the crash.
That answers that.

Henry Nigel Pearson died in a car accident on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 in Fullerton. Born in Hackensack, NJ, Henry was 25 when he died. Henry grew up in Manhattan Beach, CA from the age of 3. He was a 2002 graduate of Mira Costa High. Henry graduated from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University with a bachelor's degree. At the time of his death, he was attending law school and developing his own baseball sports management company. His lifelong passion was baseball, which he began at the age of 3. He played on the Mira Costa High Varsity baseball team for three years and was captain in his final year. As a teenager, he interned for Fox Sports West, College Sports Television, and the Montreal Expos. At ASU, he executive produced, for three years, "Devils on the Deuce," a sports round-up program for Sun Devil Television and interned at Gaylord Sports Management. Henry befriended many high school and college baseball players in Southern California and Arizona which led to his representation of Robbie Estrada of El Segundo, whom he signed to the Tampa Bay Rays. He was also close to a number of Major League Baseball players. Henry touched many lives with his extreme optimism, entertaining personality, and caring nature. There was never a moment in life when he didn't give 110%. He lived life to the fullest and was always there to support his friends and family. He is survived by his Mother, Areta Pearson of Manhattan Beach, CA; father, Nigel Pearson of Manhattan Beach, CA; sister, Jessica Pearson of Manhattan Beach, CA. Well, any half-decent attorney is going to have him clean up his appearance to look like a regular decent guy.
IMO, this is where MADD is wasting their resources. So much energy spent on lobbying for lower limits, more fund-raising via tons of fees/costs on first offenders, etc. Meanwhile repeat offenders keep repeating. Dude is 22 and already had a felony DUI before this one. Unless CA has much different laws than elsewhere, that tells me he had at least 2 priors in 6-ish years of driving.
