New eBay Seller needs advice.

My problem is I would like to sell off 1000 or so cards to help supplement the grading fees for the cards I want to keep. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. For example if I have 100 rc’s and hof’ers from the late 80's and early 90's and they are all in nm to Gem Mint. If I start a 9 day auction out at $.99 am I better of using a "buy it now" or just run them as auctions and hope they sell for more than $1.00. My other question is, out of that 100 cards how many of them will usually not even sell and you have to relist them. Does this happen frequently that many items won't even sell for a buck.

might do better with some small lots of the same player rather than individual cards. Also maybe small lots of key rookies from the same sets might do better. I find it useless to sell things for a buck. I'd rather give them away. Atleast try to get $5-10 per sale or it will get very monotonous. I start all my auctions at $4.99 so I don't have to see 6 different bids before it even gets to $4.99

And don't forget to offer combined shipping

Did you offer them on the board first?

Zep is right. If you start things at .99 you might get hosed. Good luck!

You have not given anyone a clue about what you have for sale.
If a card is in very good demand...you can start at .99 if not then you might want to research what it normaly sells for and list it buy i now.
I like to list for 30 days.....it gives you more time for buyers to see your auctions.
    Be fair with shipping.

They are all low $ cards. Most of them list in Beckett for under $5. For example here are just a few cards I have sitting on my desk right now that I am looking to sell. I just don't know how to go about selling them. None of them are going to sell for more then $5 but they are far from being commons too.

Making lots by player/team/year sometimes works well.

30-day BINs are often good for such lots.

Those cards are not going to sell individually.
