It's pretty well known among the unopened collectors that the "Christmas Raks", which were first advertised for sale by "Mark Murphy" some years ago, were after market packs which were put together by a third party (probably in the 80s or 90s). Most of the cards in the packs are probably ex/mt and I'm sure it will be a cold day in hell when you would pluck a MANTLE card from one of those!

Now I've seen it all. These Xmas rack packs which were garbage to begin with compared to what they sell for, now they're making fakes of the Xmas rack packs - now that is f*in funny.

I guess it's easy - a decent photo quality inkjet printer, moisten a set of staples and let them rust a bit, and then staple the packs with the rusty staples so the packs appear old, buy a little plastic sealer thingee for around $100, get some EXMT 60's commons cards for around 75 cents each...and you've got yourself a ready to go ebay Xmas rack pack scamming kit.

I guess it's "funny" unless you're a naive newbie and pay around $150 to $200 or whatever for about 12 EXMT cards worth around $10, and then one day ya find out the truth about this rip-off.

Modern packaging at its finest, LOL....these might be the same guys who shrinkwrapped all those "grocery" cellos from the early '70s..
