Does anyone have a 1964 Niekro Rookie?

I posted this on the BST board but nobody has answered. This is the only card I need for my set. There are only 2 auctions running on ebay and they are both buy it now. Those two and the others in ebay stores are all way over priced well above SMR. I also can't find one on any of the other card buying sites. Surely somebody on here has one for sell.

DO you mean the one where he is with Jack Nicholas? (I'll look, I think I sold my last one)

Graded or not graded? If graded, what grade are you looking for? Thanks.

It can be graded or not graded but has to be EX/MT or better. The set I'm building is around 80% NM or better.

I have a psa 9 Niekro RC, although its not for sale. It took me a while to find a nice one, I would suggest just being patient, one will pop up!

Tommy I saw a bunch of them on Ebay.

I think most of the 6's were net graded ones though.

This may be the time to call on 707.

Based on what I see on ebay's recent completed listings, you should be able to pick up an EX/MT to NM raw card in a price range of $30 to $51 dollars. There is somewhat of a variety right now on ebay, linky

How bad do you want one and how much are you wanting to spend? I'm always gun shy buying raw cards off ebay unless the seller had very large scans and has a good raw selling rep like some of our CU members.

Looking at the 707 copy I take that back.

I see a decent raw example on ebay for 45.00 with the best offer feature.

    Centering is decent.

I also wanted to add, There is an ebay listing right now for a card listed as, $55.00 from sbaycardsdottcom . They are my local card shop and are very reputable and has a guy who works the net full time. If interested, email Scott and ask him for large scans of front and rear and see what he can do on the price.

Just make an offer on one of the cards on Ebay. Sometimes sellers will make deals.

Does somebody have the VCP on this card in 6, 7, and 8? It seems that all of the prices on ebay are way above SMR. I like the PSA 8 that is priced at $150, but that is the SMR. I may make him an offer.

I would think if all are priced at SMR then the card usually sells for around that Tommy.

Remember this is a high number, a rookie and a Hall of Famer.

Good luck, and don't settle for a net graded 6.

get a true to the grade example.

Well, this card recently sold for $138.88 on ebay with 18 bids. image

At that price I wouldn't hesitate to pull the trigger on a PSA 8 at 150.00 if the card was to my liking. Personally, I've noticed many auctions seem to sell for less than the bin's listed.

    Dear Corvette1340,

I called a local sports card store, MVP Sports Cards, and inquired into a 1964 Topps Phil Niekro. Unfortunately, they do not have one. Sorry.

thanks for doing that. Also, thanks to everyone for their suggestions. I sent the guy with the $150 PSA 8 a question asking whats the least he'll take for it. Even if he doesn't come down if wouldn't be all that bad using the 14% live cashback and my 2% ebay bucks. ($126 + shipping)
