Real or printed 1963 Cubs team Ball?

I saw a 1963 Cubs Team Ball at a show today and all the sigs were in a similar black pen and several sigs crossed the seams on the ball. I was suspicious that the ball was printed ball and not the real deal. What other clues would help to distinguish a real from a printed team ball? Thanks

You said several sigs crossed the seams on the ball, that is a good clue. Another clue is if there is any manufacture printing on the ball. A real signed ball would likely have some sort of maker label on it, like Spaulding or Reach. All the preprinted ones I have do not have anything on them other than the preprinted sigs. I can't think of any other telltale signs other than you can look at them and just tell. You should find a few pics of each, real signed balls and preprinted balls and give them each a good look over. If you compare the pics side by side, it becomes obvious which is printed and what is really signed, or at least it did to me.
