Did the ECB Save COMEX from Gold Default?

Interesting article. I posted one a few days ago about the default on kilo bars. Now we learn that the COMEX may have almost defaulted on 100oz bars.

Sinclair had an interesting slant on that article. Even if the ECB may have bailed Deutsche Bank out of that 850,000 ounces of gold, the fact remains that DB is still on the hook to the ECB for the 850,000 oz. of gold. In any case, available bank gold inventory was just decreased.

Maybe the IMF can give DB the 25 tons out of the 403 tons they promise to sell every year. Something tells me that the ECB won't accept a check in place of the gold.
