Topps '52. I was just told today that my redemption for this card wouldn't be produced.

But I have these 2 sitting on my desk - still need the red ink, though!

  • I hate redemption cards. I got shafted on a 2001 Topps Archives Auto of Don Sutton. Instead I got a autograph card of Tony Mota and a pack of Topps something. had I know the card would not be produced, I would have sent the redemption card in to PSA and have it graded, that would truly be a rare card.

So I reccomend that you submit the redemption card for PSA grading...
  • I hate redemption cards as well. I got a Terrence Long autograph and a pack of Topps Heritage cards for my redemption card for a 2001 Topps Archives Juan Marichal autograph (which also was never produced). The worst part was that I bought the redemption card on eBay for $20.00.

On the other hand, my Robin Yount redemption card from the same year did pay off and the through-the-mail, sent loose in an envelope with no protection Yount that was somehow not damaged scored a PSA 9.

The three that I know about are:
2007 SP Authentic By the Letter patch card. His auto is on the patch, so I don't know if that counts.
2007 UD Masterpieces Strokes of Genius
    and 2007 Bowman Chrome Prospects

    Good pitcher....horrible signature
If that was on a plain sheet of paper, I'd be clueless who it was

I agree if you don't want to sign autographs for the fans don't. If you are getting paid to sign I would
expect a little more then a loop and a line? Like I said if you have no use for signing then don't nobody is
holding a gun to your head.

In 2007, I wonder how many cards or stickers he'd sign in a single setting. Seems kinda daunting to have a few sheets of several thousand stickers and a few boxes of thousands of cards and have to plow through them. After singing my name 300 or so times to buy my house, my sig was looking pretty messy by the last page, and I didn't spend the previous 5 hours throwing a baseball around either!

Nobody is holding a gun to his head to sign he could politely decline the money and just say no I don't like signing.

Maybe that's just what his signature looks like?

My signature is similar. It's not neat, it's not pretty, but it's mine. If you asked me for my signature (and why wouldn't you? image) that's what you'd get. If you asked me to write my name neatly, I can do that too, but it's not my signature.
