Best offer with no response??!!

What do people list stuff with the "best offer" option and then not respond to the offers?? At leat they could decline the offer, but to not give any response at all isn't right!!.

I agree, it's very annoying. If they don't want to field offers that they feel are "lowball", then they should set things up to automatically reject anything below a certain dollar amount.

  • One reason they dont respond is it leaves an offer on the auction and if they have guys watching it sometimes leads to a impulse buy.

With all the screen and buttons you have to push, it is easier to just not respond.

Then why even have the "best offer" option selected for your auction!!??

    depends on your offer..

My offers are generally at leat 2/3 of the asking price....would think that would at least warrant a response or they should have their options set to auto-decline offers below a certain $$

No response is better than the jerks that respond that the price has been adjusted and raised 25%...
  • Occassionally I forget to respond and don't remember until it's too late. Then if I try to email the potential buyer, it looks like I jerked him/her around waiting on a better offer.

If the offer is absurdly low, then I wont respond either....even if I counter close to VCP average, someone is trying to steal, and I dont believe they would take even VCP average......
