mint tubes - storage

It's been a few years since I visited.. nice to see they added a pm subforum.

Can any of you tell me if the plastic mint tubes from the mint that store 20 ASE's are safe for long term storage? (The ones that come out of monster boxes)

    I believe that they will be absolutely fine for longterm storage. They appear to be polyethylene with no plasticizers or pvc.

    I have a mint tube from 2000. all the coins are still pristeen, no spots .
