Not exceptionally high grade... it's a PCI (old green label) AU58.
I never could get the color right.

Nice looking half center you got there.

<< <i>I wonder why that coin is a 58? Great pics Mark. >>
Keep in mind the amount of gradeflation that has occurred since the coin was slabbed. If memory serves, my local dealer sent it into PCI in 1993-94. I wish I had written down when the coin was submitted...

Also, does Mark have any idea about the impact he could make with the hobby?

Edited: may have been a bit too strong.
The more qualities observed in a coin, the more desirable that coin becomes!

I am fairly certain Mark and his book has already made a huge impact on how we (the collector) photograph our coins here. It is much more enjoyable coming to these boards and really enjoying each others photos.
Thanks Mark

Did coinpictures/Dan himself take the pictures. Or was it Mark?
BTW, I'm infatuated with that coin. And the picture.
EDIT: OK, when I went to save the picture to my "Exceptional Coins" folder, It was labeled thus:

<< <i>I'm confused. I didn't see where coinpictures/Dan said Mark took the pictures. But people are congratulating Mark.

I originally had Mark's name in the thread title, but when I added the update today, the title was too long. The pictures are indeed Mark's, not mine.
