Need some help identifying this Mantle pin.

I'm trying to figure out the exact year of this Mantle pin. It says 1969 MLBPA on the back of the pin, but when I pull up the pop report for that set, it doesn't show any Mantles??

It might be part of the Potato Chips issue... can't recall the name, or the Reprint 1969 MLB Pin set (not part of the originally issue).

Check with Griffins or bobsbbcards, those guys know everything...

i think those were inserted into 1988 Fleer basketball packs.

Hi Michael,

If the pin DOES NOT say "Mfd in Winona Minn" on it, it is the 1983 reprint version of the 1969 MLBPA pin.

Since Mantle WAS NOT in the 1969 MLBPA pin set, it is, de facto, one of the 1983 fantasies.
