Question Regarding the Presidential Variety Sets......

in PCGS Set Registry Forum
Since PCGS refers to these as Major VARIETY and Complete VARIETY sets, why are the VARIETY coins required to get attributed as MINT ERRORS?

Shouldn't varieties be attriguted under Variety Attribution for $24 instead of the Mint Error Service of (gulp) $50?
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    Good Question.

    What kinda frustrates me is that some are slabbed as error's yet other are not (as shown below).

    Additionally, it appears that the Presidential Variety Sets are the ONLY sets which allow the addition of error coins?
