question re: '68 Topps Baseball

Was this issue particularly prone to top layer corner wear? Many of mine seem to have pretty nice corners but clear wear on that "wood grain" pattern at the corners. Or was I just too hard on them, after all I was just 8.

    There are many examples where the card has very strong corners and no top wear..I would garner a guess you were a bit hard on them. How did you store the cards? In a box? I have heard that cards layered on top of each other in this issue are prone to cause wearing on the card beneath.
