Yet the selection committee through Arizona a bone, giving them an at large bid. The 6 Pac-10 teams that made the tournament (Cal. USC, UCLA, ASU, Washington and Arizona) are down to 1 team in the Sweet 16. Arizona. All other 5 Pac-10 squads made early exits in the first and second round. Cal was horrible. UCLA was horrible in round 2.
In addition to Arizona in the Sweet 16, the other thing funny about Pac-10 hoops is that Stanford is still playing. It did not make the NCAA or the NIT. It's ninth place finish in the Pac-10 was good enought to merit a spot in the "CBI" post season tournament where it won its round 1 game. Next is a round 2 game. If it wins, it will be in the CBI final four. It's round 1 game was played at Stanford and drew less than 1,000 fans.
