Cannot wait

rexvosrexvos Posts: 3,304 ✭✭✭✭✭
With an auction ending last night I was able to finish my 1969 Topps Football set in PSA 8 or better in a little over 2 years. I cannot wait to get the card in hand as you could expect. This was the first vintage set I tried to complete in a high grade and slabbed. I had no idea how competitive it would be on key commons when I started. I probably will never attempt a set like this again. It was sure a blast putting it together though. Just thought I would share.

I have started grabbing a few rookie cards in high grade, may slowly piece together one of the following:

1957 Topps Football in PSA 7 and better
1984 Topps Football in PSA 9 and better
1984 Topps USFL in PSA 8 and better

Not sure yet, not going to committ. Just going to keep grabbing cards I like until I make up my mind.

also big thanks to Jack (Pink Catfish) with some help locating several of the tough cards from the 69 set and giving me a great deal on them!

and thanks to everyone else who has responded in this thread.
