I received several items over the last few days as a thank you from some of the board members here that left me somewhat speechless.
First, Vito (mike) sent me a beautiful signed golf ball from Freddie Couples that was signed on a players championship golf ball. It sits in the case on the stand for which my monitor is attached and I get to look at it everyday, and while I am on the computer typing and reading the boards.
Then I received a wonderful heartfelt thank you note which meant the world to me from Clemaz (Don). I will not divulge the contents as it was what I consider a private note, However, He took the time to write some of the most thoughtful words of appreciation for the stuff I do/did on here and I can honestly say I was taken back by his kindness. To take the time to send a personal thank you means someone really had to want to sit down and write and take the time to go the extra mile. In a world where it is so easy to e-mail, I can tell you the letter was a very nice touch and meant a lot to me.
Packman, (David) really got me good..I have never owned a Cracker Jack card before, and in one of the posts he told me I needed to have one to tie my t-206s to the vintage I collect. Somewhat implying the gap between years in my collection was to long. Well here comes a 1915 Cracker Jack psa 4...Robert Veach...not only did he send the card he also sent a printout of the players career and a little about the man himself.
Thinking that was all, I was then basically blown away as I uncovered the stunning T-206 EX5 Larry Doyle (which I needed)..but wait that’s not all..its from THE LIONEL CARTER COLLECTION!!!
One of the founding fathers of card collecting ..his collection is well known and for those that don’t know, please take the time to Google Lionel Carter and read about his famous collection.
I just want to say thank you to all of you.
I do what I do because I love collecting and making people happy here. I have always tried my best to help people when I can never expecting anything in return. To tell you what this stuff means to me can be summed up this way,
"These gifts/ letter will remain with me until I perish from this earth. They will never be sold. They will remain with me forever."
Thank you dearly.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
Everyday seems something new is learned. Topics and opinions are revealed. All of which makes this board not only fun
and helpful but a great place to meet some cool cat's in the same game.
