Just got this 1883 5 Franc from the Lugano shooting festival in NGC 62. I really do like some of the 19th C. Swiss engraving.

nice example Jeff! I agree, those shooters had some wonderful work, from very well known European engravers of their era.

Is that guy on the obverse ... Hercules or a "wild man"?

I'm not absolutely sure Silvereagle but it appears to be a wild man, here's a larger obverse pic.
