I suppose if you define Patina as the accumulative effects of aging that changes the texture of the surface, including toning, then indeed I did remove some, but not all of the coins' patina. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. While removing grime from a coin my devalue it from your perspective, for others the true original surface has now been restored without removing any of the original metal skin.
