(Absolutely no sarcasm here) ... No way, I can't believe it. Especially in the NFL where talent reins supreme.

    If it's not Oakland I'll be a monkey's uncle...

and now that I think of it, I just noticed the inherent racism in that saying. Anyone know the origin of that? Was it, in fact, a racial remark back in the day?

Is TO a Hall of Famer? Bear in mind that the Pro Football Hall of Fame only takes into consideration a player's on-field performance, which in theory could encompasses his sideline "performances."

The TO I saw with Dallas was a much more mature TO then I saw in Philadelphia. I would scoop him up if I was a team.

Yeah, he mentally progressed from acting like a 12 year old to a 14 year old. image

He still has some playing ability left but his best days are clearly behind him. The baggage is going to follow him wherever he
goes and make no mistake he will get an offer from some team.

Steven A Schmuck said TO was "shocked", "devistated", and "betrayed".

    Excuse me a second..

    BAWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

I concur with TO. He's an outstanding teammate, a pillar within every community he plays in, and the most gracious and considerate human being on Earth. People maliciously label him a cancer and it's an absolute travesty.

    Vitoco1972,

The monkey's uncle thing, I believe, is related to a Darwinian thought that we evolved from monkeys. It is also used as an expression of surprise...I doubt either is racially related.

Hope things on your side have improved.

    Regards,
    Al

The teams that don't want Terrell Owens
    By MJD
Terrell Owens is still technically the property of the Dallas Cowboys, so it would be against league rules for other teams to go on record as saying they are or aren't interesting in acquiring his services (though that hasn't stopped the Redskins).

ProFootballTalk.com, though, is keeping a list of teams that have made it known to them through "league sources" that they have no interest in Owens. As of right now, that list includes:

    The Dallas Cowboys.
    The New York Giants.
    The Washington Redskins.
    The Baltimore Ravens.
    The San Francisco 49ers.
    The Minnesota Vikings.
    The Atlanta Falcons.
    The Cleveland Browns.

And the Eagles and Dolphins are listed as teams that are expected to join the list soon. Donovan McNabb and Bill Parcells are the president and vice president of the "Terrell Owens Deserves a Giant Wedgie Club."

But there are no real surprises there, except maybe a couple of mild ones. The Redskins are always worth mentioning whenever an expensive free agent is available, and the Vikings wanted T.J. Houshmandzadeh badly, but whiffed. I guess they're only in the market for sane receivers.

This is a good read from Peter King of SI

What now for T.O.? My guess is the Raiders, though as my radio buddy and SI.com colleague Ross Tucker suggested Thursday morning on Sirius NFL Radio, the Redskins have to be an intriguing thought. Washington owner Dan Snyder is always looking to tweak the Jones family, and if he signed Owens for something near the veteran minimum with enough incentives in the contract to make it interesting, the Redskins would be just what T.O. wants. Surely Owens is feeling absolutely embarrassed at being cut, and money is not what's going to make him happy. Revenge is. And two shots at the Cowboys this year, particularly with a fortified Redskins team, would appeal to Owens more than a good signing bonus and a couple of years of relative anonymity in Oakland.
