OT: Tax Day

Roughed out the tax return tonight and didn't like the results. Spent more money doing something to cheer me up. Booked tix for my wife and I to see Springsteen at the LA Sports Arena on April 15th! Now back to coins.

    Springsteen. image

I was a fan when he was just a musician, but I don't like him as a politician.

  • Computerized tax returns work in marvelous ways. It asked if I had Medicare. I answered yes. It asked if I had private insurance. I said yes. It wanted details from the official form HC1099 which I never received and don't expect to. It added a $840 fine to my tax bill for having no insurance. I then lied and said I had NO private insurance and it took the $840 off. I could have filled out a paper form quicker.
