1st vending set of 1976 Put together....For Sale

Ok,

I have submitted the Hall of Famers to PSA I have completed 1 raw set that I put together with the cards I pulled from the vending case. I am offering the first set for sale.
It will grade out psa 7/8 with some cards having shots at 9's.
I will include some of the hall of famers graded as well as the raw version of the card so you can enjoy the set flipping thru the pages, as well as have some graded cards of stars and semi stars in other words dupes of the cards.

I will be asking 750.00 for the set as its clean, no dings, some of the cards are O/C top to bottom or L/R a little but the sets overall are smoking.

I will post scans once the cards get back. Please let me know if you are interested. I will then post scans of the raw set, as well as the graded cards, once they get back from PSA. These cards went right from the vending box into the binder or card saver 1's. They have only been touched once.

The Link below will take you to the PSA Boards 1952 Set Build, I also have made 5 slideshows each slideshow is 100 cards long, card numbers 1-99,100-199,200-299,300-399, and 400-407

The scans I saw were jaw-dropping, If I were into that set I would have no trouble giving $750 for the quality of cards she scanned.
  • Maybe you should buy it then. Burrito collects these years and that is rich rich rich for my blood!

I could be wrong, but i think $250 would be for a NM set... you can double that price for a nice NM/MT set and maybe double that for a close to Mint freshly opened vending set... so, $750 sound fair.

And to answer your question... my Boys and I are already working on this set (need 8 cards), so we don't need to buy this blazer.

Good luck, Felicia (you might try the N54 board as well).

There's a post on net54 where someone is looking to buy "nice" sets from 1960-77. Yours would qualify as "nice".

    Hope that helps.

Again, another sarcastic smart azz post Jimmy.
  • 1st set sold ..heres what I would say to those that think 750.00 is high..If you look at my track record on these boards do you really think for one minute I won't make this a major steal for the buyer.
Maybe some nice psa 9 commons, and semi stars, as well as hall of famers in 8's and 8.5's. plus an entire set raw which means you are gettting a raw set to look at and then graded dupes of players.
I assure you I would not sell anything to make a buck at any buyers expense. I would go beyond reproach to make sure a buyer was more than happy. My reputation is worth more than 750.00 mr. burrito breath.

I would have loved that set if I was not bitten by the unemployment bug. The scans of the cards in the other thread were unbeleivable!

Please make your next vending case purchase Football cards. These baseball & burrito guys obviously don't know a good thing when they see it. That set should have sold in under 2 minutes.

Good for you, Mike! Way to go. Please indulge us with some scans when you get the set. I'm particularly interested in seeing some of the raw cards.
