This perfect gem displays all the ripe bouquet of a freshly cut bundle of roses. Soft magentas and strong green hues like fresh cut grass, dazzle the viewer on the reverse. The obverse is a splendid assortment of mauve, teal and powder gray, highlighted by beaming red. The last cent this nice sold for $86,000,000 in the famed Seymour Butts collection of Lincoln Cents. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to truly own the best!
<< <i>sorry not enough detail in the beard for a 66 >>
By the time 1937 rolled around, the beard details were long gone. I'd say that coin grades MS66RD or 65RD if the graders were being hard on the little tics.
Here's a 68RD pulled from coingallery.org, photo'd by forum member shylock......check out the (non) beard
just goes to show you that you can't grade from just a photo, especially the ultra high grades. whenever I try to photo a 66RD or 67RD, the photos seem to focus on and exaggerate every microscopic flaw while at the same time the photo fails to show the luster properly. I'm sure it's a great one to look at in hand
The two red X's from the military censors are graded MS62Red, so with all that have said higher grades, I'll go with BB, just to be on the other side of the fence. Plus, nobody ever posts coins with the guess the grade deal that's easy... hope I'm wrong though.
