Some Coin Show Newps..

Our local coin club had its annual show starting today and going on tomorrow too.

Picked up some stuff early.

The only stage Coach Coach slab there that I saw. $35 and a nice 1881-O it is. FWIW no doily holders no 81-cc or 85-cc or 03-o circ Morgans in any kind of slab that I saw.




Saw these two. A nice 1921 and a 1899-O both for $50. They also have a 83-cc and 84-cc.



Picked up a few end roll toners. Was browsing a dealer's case as he was setting up. He pulled out an NGC box and offered these. After I was done a couple tables later a shopper next to me said man, I was hoping you would pass on those toners.

I've never heard of a " stage coach slab". Cool, and it reminds me of the Nebraska Statehood quarter reverse design

I think those PCGS ones are bulk orders from QVC or HSN or other shop at home networks.

The coins aren't bad for the $$, no different than raw for the same money.

Nice stuff Thomas...How is NGC doing with their Morgan grades these days? I have always thought they were extremely generous with them in the past.

I dunno, but another dealer from the same town as the one I got these toners from allegedly told another of our club members that he was tired of apologizing [I spose to his customers] for NGC and was leaning a lot more towards PCGS.

Today I picked up a 1964 Kennedy half in an older pale green PCGS sample slab for $5.

Notice how one of the Wells Fargo slabs says 1881-0 (number Zero) and the other says 1884-O (letter Oh)

This isn't some sort of 1881/0 overdate? It's just sloppy font usage, correct?

One of my minor pet peeves.

Outstanding!! I like the stagecoach slab. That's how most of us in eastern oregon still get to work.

Conspicuous by their absence were CAC stickered slabs; don't recall seeing a single one.
