Looking for Windows XP

My computer was crushed by a virus last week and it is about 5 years old. It looks like I need a new copy of XP. If anybody has an extra one, I'd be looking to send some cards over as a trade.

Home built? Or is it a brand PC? If it's a brand name, you may still be able to order a recovery CD which would serve just as good as a refresh reinstall. Getting a copy of WinXP is not a problem. Getting a valid activation key is. Even the corporate edition needs to go through this if you plan on installing any of the service packs.

You may also be able to do a system restore without the need of recovery disks which will return the PC to the original configuration that came out of the box. Search internet with your make model and system restore and see what comes up. All saved pictures etc will be lost so you'll need to back these up. Make sure virus doesn't go with them.

First I am no expert but if you can download this Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and see what it detects.

Have seen others that thought they were out of options run this and it was able to remove some very nasty stuff.

This product hauls arse. use it. It should get rid of anything you have that is not normal. It will beat up custom software so be ready for that. XP disk can be bought on Ebay for a few bucks. I don't have one sorry.
