LEAST CAP ROOM
Carolina — $1.9 million
New England — $3.2 million
Indianapolis — $6.6 million
Pittsburgh — $7.4 million

I don't follow the numbers too much, but aren't some of those low-cap teams temporarily strapped, pending likely trades of franchise tagged players? Like the New England team? I mostly follow college football.

If they trade Cassel they will free up about $10m, but I wouldn't call that likely - maybe 50/50 - and I'd be surprised if it happens anytime soon either way. They are likely precluded from most of this weekend's festivities. Fred Taylor would be about the best they'll do this weekend.

edit: I see Cassel is closer to $15m. Life is good as Tom Brady's caddy.

Please tell me that was sarcastic? There's a reason Sage has been a career backup...Now the Vikes have 3 mediocre QBs...complete waste of what would otherwise be a Super Bowl contending team.
