What’s the deal with expired redemption cards?

I just pulled this from a 99 Score Supplemental set. It says it expires in 2005. First off, who puts redemption cards in a factory sealed set? I would guess that the majority of these aren’t even opened. Do I have any shot of actually getting this card if I send in the redemption card? I have also heard that UD will send you a replacement cards if they don’t have the expired card. Will Score do the same thing?

  • Doesn't hurt to try to send it in. Although at least the redemption is an expired future HOF, so I imagine there are a couple collectors that would want it as is. Or at least I would pay $5 for it if was Young.

I say send it in and give it a shot. Or call their Customer Service if that's an option.

Make sure you have a current address. The address on that card is probably not current, since Donruss/Playoff owns Score now.
