Headed to MGM Grand @ Foxwoods on Monday, any suggestions? *Returned Triumphant!*

wondering if you heathens had ventured into the new hotel.... I got a couple of nights worth of free rooms so I figured I'd check out the place for my birthday (Feb 23rd) I hear the casino is quite small....
I wonder if I can upgrade my free rooms for a suite since they are hurting for business
Any comments on the food/restaurants?

I upgraded my room for FREE to a Directors suite (hot tub etc) because I mentioned my birthday and the at desk super nice to boot. Free room, upgraded to a better room. bonus!
Kinda hung out and checked out the casino, shops and restaraunts in the new place; strolled over to Foxwoods side (10 minute walk or so) for Dinner at Cedars... absolutely dead on Monday night; very few people there, all the shops closed early.
Hit the slots for a bit and lost $50, then wandered the tables looking for a place to sit and play Spanish 21, alas could not find a seat. So for no good reason I planted myself at a Roulette table with on other guy playing; he seemed to be raking in the cash. I had not played roulette in about 9 years and its not a game usually even think about. but what the hell!
got $50 in chips to start and min bet was $10. Didnt play any single numbers just groups of 4 or in between 2 of my favorites. I kinda hovered around where the other guy was winning and rode his coattails for a bit. after I doubled my money I started playing single numbers. $3-5 per number.
I played my birthday numbers and hit twice, played my lucky number (6) and it came up twice in a row! then I played my Moms birthday and that came out (27) twice in a row. They started paying me in $25 and $100 chips and i just took those of the table and handed them to my buddy who was along for the ride... Eventually things went cold and I cashed out the $1 chips on the table (more than 200!) and we went and counted my winnings.... $900! I was kinda stunned. I said thats it. done for the night lol.
Next day we played bingo to kill a few hours, came close on 2-3 games (1 number away dammit!) then did a late lunch; hit the tables and slots. probably lost $200 on slots, but played a LONG time. My buddy retired for the night and I finally found a spanish 21 table to play. It was a cold table to start and half the folks left, dealer changed and so did the luck. started with $100 in chips, left with $550
Overall a 4 figure birthday gift! definitely the most money ive taken out of there in a good long time (other than when i hit a $1000 jackpot on a dollar slot machine)
waiting for my lungs and sinuses to recvoer from all the damn smoke. sadly there isnt ONE section where you can play non smoking table games. a
Cheers!
