What would this '64 Mantle grade?

Need some opinions from the group. I've got the opportunity to buy this good looking centered Mantle for my set. What do you think it would grade and what would be a fair/good price on it? Thanks.

No shot at a 7 or 7.5? The corners look pretty good to me and centering is perfect. No other flaws other than slightly touched corners as far as I can tell.

Would you trim a card so that it had a wavy edge?

I would think this card would of been graded by now, if nothing was wrong with it.

6 at first glance, BUT agree with the paper loss comment, might not come back with what you want.

I wouldnt trim a card period, but it measures perfect and is uniform with the rest of the '64s I measured it against.

I wish you the best of luck, but I don't see it coming back any higher than a "6". The corner by the "Y" in Yankees and the one by the word "outfield" look a bit worn. JMO.

I have no idea if it was trimmed, with that said anyone that gives a grade is guessing.

The person that has it in hand should be in the best position to grade it.

My opinion (guess) is that if it grades it will grade a 6.

I base that upon the OP's statement that it has touched corners.

2 or more touched corners with decent centering has always been EX/MNT to me.

Wasn't suggesting you trimmed the card. Card trimmers look for slightly oversized cards. When trimmed, the cards usually are the correct size.

I had 6-6.5 in my mind with a shot at 7, but it has to get a 6.5 to justify the price I think. Thanks for everyones input.

top left and bottom righ corners have wear.. bottom right has more then freying.. has a tip bend..
    I would expect a 6.. don't be shocked at a 5.5
    be pumped at a 6.5+

    N8 miscut... seriously

why in the world is this a miscut?
  • Options
This could be a miscut. The front looks good. It may be a 7, but the back looks trimmed because of the miscut. It is a really bad angle cut or the back of the sheet did not line up correctly.

    My unprofessional guess 6 (NQ)

If it has to get a 6.5 grade to justify the price have the owner of the card get it graded
and if it comes back a 6.5 pay him 6.5 money.

IMO you should not pay anything more then 4.5 money for it raw.

This way you both accept some risk.
